Villafranca Wins the Ian Parry Award

Pinoy photojournalist Vicente Jaime "VJ" Villafranca is the first Pinoy to becoem the grand prize winner of the prestigious Ian Parry Scholarship award in London. He submitted 12 B&W images of the "Chinese Mafia Crew," a gang in Manila's Baseco compound. VJ took his Fine Arts degree in UST and his doctorate of street food photos later became a book. He worked for Graphic, AP, AFP and Reuters.
