Da Hiro is Daboy. Duh?
I read the Inquirer from cover to cover to read about Independence Day coverage. Only one headline used "hero" and it was used not on Rizal, Aguinaldo, Bonifacio or other old fogeys but instead was used, of course, on Daboy. Rudy Fernandez got the hero worship from Inquirer. "Daboy gets sendoff fit for hero," the back page said. He got the 21-gun salute. So in deference to Inquirer and Daboy, we will write like this for the rest of daday. I hope people will read dablog link yesterday about Erap because it tells so much about our hero worship of artistas or movie actors as dasaviour of dacountry. There is another story inside about doing "a Sharon."
Doing a Sharon or a Rica means taking examination so you can get back to dagrade level of your age. Sharon Cuneta is a dropout in other words but she has damost number of product endorsements. It shows daculture of popularity which brought us to darut that we are now.
And damedia are perpetuating that culture.
So next year, instead of June 12 as Independence Day, it will be known as Daboy Day. Yay!
