Here's Sylvia's
You're
Clownlike, happiest on your hands,
Feet to the stars, and moon-skulled,
Gilled like a fish. A common-sense
Thumbs-down on the dodo's mode.
Wrapped up in yourself like a spool,
Trawling your dark as owls do.
Mute as a turnip from the Fourth
Of July to All Fools' Day,
O high-riser, my little loaf.
Vague as fog and looked for like mail.
Farther off than Australia.
Bent-backed Atlas, our traveled prawn.
Snug as a bud and at home
Like a sprat in a pickle jug.
A creel of eels, all ripples.
Jumpy as a Mexican bean.
Right, like a well-done sum.
A clean slate, with your own face on

this plath book came in today's guardian...we were reading it after lunch and couldn't help notice how uncanny the resemblance to gwyneth is...
o sige ngarud, off to buy a new tank of lpg....
Incidentally, why DOESN'T the Pelepen Daily Inquirer do a similar thing instead of publishing useless 'lifestyle inserts"??????
The Guardian and The Times all try to outdo each other with their daily inserts.
It will be better for our literacy to have digested reads of good pinoy, asean, and world writers instead of crap celine lopez or tim yap columns...
Nash, pakiipon naman itong seven booklets na ito (including the one that will appear in the The Observer on Sunday), plus the CD that will come out in tomorrow's Weekend Guardian. The series ends Tuesday next week. Isa pa yang nami-miss ko about London, the newspapers with their free books, chapbooks, CDs, DVDs, plus fantastic weekend glossy magazines with brilliant articles on politics, science and the arts, plus competitions and offers. Value for money talaga.
Kung wala kang balak ipunin yung poetry booklets and CD, padala mo na lang dito kapag may uuwi. Siyanga pala, maaasahan ko pa ba yung aking HP book? palitan ko na lang ng aking poetry book! :)
Manong Ed, awanen ta ni Analyn ket issuna ti agkulkulekta...nu maminsan, mapan kami pay in another college to steal their inserts...
The observer on sunday? are ye sure? i think it has michael jackson on the cover...
I still have the HP book...
