Nilasing na Hito

You must have tasted nilasing na hipon or drunken shrimp. This is shrimp bathed with cheap gin, either eaten fresh or fried.
But in Japan, they have nilasing na hito or drunken carp. The huge carp in Tonami town were caught and then forced to imbibe large doses of sake or rice wine. According to Mainichi Japan, "Filled up with sake, the carp at first turned belly-up on the surface of the water. But they soon recovered and swam off."
