Aretha Franklin, one of my fahvorite singer, gets forty years of R-E-S-P-E-C-T from, guess who? Not a major record label. Not a music channel. But from Detroit Free Press. How endearing for a local newspaper to give the multi-media treatment to Franklin's signature song which was hit Number One 40 years ago. Just browse over this link. It's worth your while. Didn't you know Franklin had a cold when she recorded that song so it gets to be very hard for anyone to replicate the plakang-plaka style.
