You can also add the BBC documentary The Power of Nightmares to your list. It's one of the most fascinating pieces of investigative journalism I've ever come across. I saw it at this year's Seattle International Film Festival. It's a work divided into three hour-long segments. I'm including the Wikipedia entry as a backgrounder and the Google video links as well. No one in the US has really seen this doc apart from those that have viewed it in the festival circuit, unlike An Inconvenient Truth or Why We Fight, which found a distributor to screen the films throughout the country.
I rather found it interesting how both on the side of US Conservatives and the Muslim right, they both share the similarity of spreading misinformation about the gravity of threat.
