It sad that we are on the cusp of a no book age. The tactile pleasure of holding a book, the feel of the paper on your fingers. Book plates are the art the owner places in the book to let you know this is his gallery. If books only exit on a chip, where is the artistry? If all the treasures of the Louvre were available only on disc, would they have as great an impact? If you visit a friends home, bare, stark except for a digital picture frame or two and his PC, great creator tho he may be, can you tell something about the man?

I have lost all sense of home, having moved about so much. It means to me now -- only that place where the books are kept. John Steinbeck
