Millions of Filipinos Died For This

Filipinos sacrificed their lives so that we can have June 12 as our Independence Day. I went walking Session Road and I saw schoolchildren going home. They were supposed to be home by lunch after watching the June 12 parade or even parading themselves. But no! President Arroyo just like that decided that we spend our Independence Day on the 10th because we have to extend our holidays. What kind of patriotic thinking did that come from? She must be just being honest because, after all, she had sold us all anyway so what independence are we thinking?
