Meanwhile in Laoag, Boy Slapped for Speaking in English


A young boy in Laoag City complained to the police that he was slapped by a tricycle driver he was riding on after the boy talked to him in English. The boy, Pahistrano Tedra, said that Jonathan Gorospe slapped him for speaking to him in English, the police said. Gorospe felt that he was being made fun of and asked the boy to get off his tricycle and then slapped him. The police has set a confrontation with the boy's parents and Gorospe. The report did not include the age of Tedra or where he is studying.
