Sundance

The U.S.-based Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program will award up to $1.5 million in grants to support documentary films focused on contemporary social issues. Interested participants must submit a copy of their film dialogue transcript along with an application by July 7. The program encourages the exploration of innovative nonfiction storytelling, and promotes the exhibition of documentary films to a broader audience. Awards will be announced in November. Ateneo Art Awards

The Ateneo Art Gallery, together with Asian Art News, Metro Society, Shangri-La Plaza, UnionBank and YStyle of the Philippine Star, is proud to announce that ten artists who were featured in twelve exhibitions have been short-listed for the 2008 Ateneo Art Awards. The works of this year's shortlisted artists exemplify a spirit of diversity, eschewing convention by producing innovative works in painting, photography, video, installation, performance, assemblage and sculpture. The short-listed artists are as follows:
