Flying Condom Lanterns to the Gods to Make Them Less Fertile

Back from Bohol, a province which I now love in a weird way. Maybe because we didn't go there on a tour by the DOT or maybe we were indeed on a tour but the funny mix of people in our group made it different. More on this later. Anyway I was glad our event back in Baguio went well. Kawayan de Guia and the gang made flying lanterns shaped like condoms and we flew it at Burnham Park last February 12. Two nights before that, the artists tested one of the lanterns and it burned because the wind was too strong. We thought of putting strings so we can retrieve them. I was crossing my fingers last night while I was in Panglao Island that the event would go on without any funny incidents. It was a success. Yes, we outshone the Panagbenga with a minute percentage of their budget. Just creativity and artistry and a remote command from my part.
