Midland Apology
I inherited my parents' Sunday habit of reading the Baguio Midland Courier from the end then back to front. "End" meaning the obituaries. The Internet version still has obituaries but not the picturesque ones we get. Sometimes you get weird ads like this letter of Public Apology. I did not include the names here:
I XXXXXXXXXX, second year nursing student at the Benguet State University, would like to publicly extend my sincerest apology to Ms. HXXXXXXXX, also a student at the BSU, to her parents, relatives, friends and the BSU College of Nursing regarding my reckless behavior. I intentionally edited the pictures of HXXXXXXXX without her knowledge and consent. These pictures were taken from a swimming pool, I made it appear through computer modification that she was nude at the pool when in truth and in fact she was wearing clothes. I intentionally posted these pictures in my friendster account and was browsed upon by some of my friends. I later deleted these pictures and also told my friends who copied it to delete it. However because of the wrong that I did, I have caused HXXXXXXXX, emotional, mental and spiritual damages and placed her name in public ridicule. I am very sorry for my indiscretion and ask for yur forgiveness. I am remorseful and regret my actions, and will be responsible for whatever consequences that may arise. I also plead to all persons who accidentally browsed my friendster account and have copied the pictures that I posted to delete it so as not to cause further damage to HXXXXXXXX.I googled his friendster account and it seemed that our pillar of self-improvement has erased it.
I apologize for my mistake and reckless disregard for the feelings of others. I will consider this experience a lesson for a lifetime. I will ponder on the things i realized and will take them as pillars of self-improvement.

and you wonder why being 'nude' in a swimming pool, one place where it's actually ok to be nude, causes spiritual damages......
Absurd. It is now spiritually damaging to be nude? What about Adam and Eve? Original sin? Nudity?
I love the midland!
Nursing students in Baguio swim in their caps and uniforms
You know, that is why a lot of people drown or nearly drown in the beaches. They swim with jeans and t-shirts!!!! We are a tropical archipelago! Let's get naked!
